Give this school’s garden a facelift! Volunteers will be weeding, painting garden beds and fences, and making other improvements to the garden located on the elementary school grounds.

Summer Streets is back! Join a New York Cares event support team to assist with greeting event participants, collecting waivers, checking in attendees, and helping with crowd control.
Connect adults and seniors with basic computer skills. Work to develop their computer knowledge through the introduction of Microsoft Office Suite and internet browsing.

Friday, September 13th from 8:30am-12:00pm
18 volunteers age 18+ needed for three areas: 6 to assist member agencies in making produce selections, 6 to pull pallets of product (must be able to lift 40 lbs.), 6 to assist agencies in loading their cars. When responding, please indicate the area you can volunteer for.
LONG ISLAND CARES VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Saturday, August 17th & Sunday, August 18th @ ShopRite, 1905 Sunrise Hwy, Bay Shore 9:00am-12:00pm, 11:30am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-5:00pm
Volunteers will set up an LI Cares table outside the store, hand out lists of our most-needed items to customers as they enter the store, and collect donations as they leave. 6 volunteers needed per shift. Volunteers must be 9 years or older (under 18 must be accompanied by adult). If you are interested in signing up, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org. LONG ISLAND CARES NEEDS YOUR HELP WITH OUR SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM! MAKE A DIFFERENCE THIS SUMMER!
We need weekly volunteers to help distribute breakfast and lunch to children in need June 27th – August 31st . Morning and afternoon shifts will be available Monday-Saturday at the following locations: Brentwood, Central Islip, Coram, Lawrence, Patchogue, Riverhead, Shirley, and Wyandanch.
Volunteers must be 16 and older (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). Training will be required of all volunteers, which will take place between June 10-21 (exact dates to be announced – morning, afternoon and evening trainings will be scheduled). If you are interested in volunteering, please email our volunteer coordinator at email@example.com, with your name, email, phone number, town you reside in, and age if under 18. We will then email you with the locations/days available.
Group Volunteer in Warehouse in Hauppauge with Long Island Cares we can organize a day for nacli
Groups of up to 15 people can volunteer to sort and pack food for distribution. We schedule groups weekdays from either 10:00-12:00 (except Wednesdays) or 1:00-3:00. This is an ongoing event to schedule as needed. If you are interested, or have any questions, please let NACLI know.
